30-DAY PROGRAM
30-Day Typing Speed Improvement Plan
A month is long enough to create a repeatable practice habit and short enough to keep the goal concrete. The plan below emphasizes quality first, then gradually adds speed and endurance.
Week 1: establish accuracy
Use easy and medium texts. Keep sessions short and focus on consistent finger movement, posture and a clean baseline.
Week 2: strengthen technique
Reduce keyboard looking, practice weak transitions and add touch-typing drills. Compare 60-second results only a few times during the week.
Week 3: add controlled speed
Introduce 15- and 30-second sprints, but always follow them with a 60-second test to see whether the faster rhythm is sustainable.
Week 4: build endurance
Use more 60- and 120-second tests. Practice maintaining pace through difficult sentences and punctuation without panic corrections.
Day 30: compare like for like
Repeat the same language, difficulty and duration you used as your baseline. Compare WPM, accuracy, errors and how stable the test felt—not only the highest number.
Practical checklist
- Keep a simple log of WPM and accuracy.
- Do not increase training time just because one day went badly.
- After 30 days, keep the parts of the routine that improved your weakest metric.
Choose English, German or Turkish, then keep language, difficulty and duration consistent when comparing progress.
